The Crystal Inn Hotel & Suites Midvalley receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its friendly staff, convenient location, and reasonable price. However, concerns regarding outdated facilities, cleanliness issues, and noise levels have been raised. Recent reviews highlight both positive experiences and notable drawbacks, suggesting inconsistent quality.
Desk staff was friendly. Building felt aged. When I turned down the bed on the first night there was a stain on the fitted sheet. Bathtub was clean but looked old and outdated. The shampoo & conditioner they give you is a joke. Each only about an inch tall (smaller than travel size) And there was no pump hand soap, only bar soap. We were on the 3rd floor and could hear every footstep from the guests above us. Continental breakfast was okay with cottage cheese & fruit, cheesy eggs, & sausage links. The breakfast area is small and it was very busy. Not a lot of places to sit once you got your food. I wouldn’t say it was a bad stay, but we probably won’t stay here again.
Great staff, service and location. Massive and clean rooms with very comfortable beds. Breakfast is alright and the pool facilities look nice too, but I didn't have the time to use them myself. Very quiet at night and friendly guests as well
The stay was very nice and we especially enjoyed the breakfast. We were highly disappointed there no outlets that had usable usb or usb-c outlets for charging our phones. The hotel seems to know this draw back and sells charging blocks and when we tried to buy one they had run out. This then made us waste an entire evening looking around town and going to several locations to find a charging block which was incredibly annoying.
This hotel is a bit dated however this is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. They have a whole crew bustling around daily. They keep the place in tip top shape. Hopefully owners will update a few things because the staff definitely takes pride in what they do. And it actually does have a nice view of the mountains.
It is a very nice hotel. Location is good and not far from downtown SLC. It has ample parking space. The front desk staff was very friendly and nice. Room was very spacious and comfortable. It had all the necessary amenities. There was also a small separate section for a sofa and a small table in our room. Housekeeping staff was very good. Breakfast was nice and had a lot of options. Price is also very reasonable. The area is safe and has nearby activities as well. It was a lovely experience for us. I would surely recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting SLC.
Great service, front desk is always available, clean room, reliable breakfast. Nicely placed as well, sufficiently quiet, not a lot of traffic, and can drive to ski resorts very easily.
Very comfortable, Breakfast was custom made and hot water and coffee is available 24/7. Same team of people that we had before. Clean and very friendly like visiting family. Thank you
I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. The hotel is very nice and the location is great! I only gave 4 stars for the rooms because the microwave didn't work well and the bathroom needed some love. 4 Stars for service because 2 of the day girls don't like their job and you can tell. They weren't rude, just extremely unhelpful and put off when asked questions. I would stay here again though and give it another chance.
Good value. Large rooms and clean enough. Breakfast is ok. Would be better if they had pancakes or waffles. And why is the orange juice broken in almost every single hotel these days???
The ceilings were so tall! I was amazed by how much room we had. I preferred to stay on the first floor to accommodate my grandmother and her arthritis, but maybe set myself up for failure because we were also by the pool. There happened to be a high school team upstairs stomping/running and causing a lot of commotion going to the pool. I called the front desk twice for a noise complaint and they got on it right away. However, there was only so much they could do to no fault of their own. We had traveled 6 hours and were looking forward to some sleep, but oh well. The rooms were comfortable, the bathroom clean, but the shower faucet did not fully close. Half of the water would also come out the spout even when the pin was up. I would stay here again, probably on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was very good and the lobby beautiful. I was almost fooled by the website, it could use a little update in the format.
